I've wanted to talk about the respect you owe your fellow authors for a while, I guess today's the day

cause many people will not give you the time of day unless you're with a big pub, or unless you have a big agent, or unless you're a NYT bestseller. That is NOT A GOOD LOOK

You owe every author, regardless of who publishes of reps them, a modicum of respect. The same respect you want for yourself.

It does you zero favors to be snobby and it costs you nothing to be respectful. Also, you NEVER. FUCKING. KNOW.
