Kellyanne Conway coined the phrase “alternative facts.” She delighted in lying to the press, and the press loved having her on TV and quoting her endlessly. She was their top anonymous “senior official.” They will all attend her farewell drinks like they did with Sarah Sanders.

Conway used the “alternative facts” lie on @MeetThePress on the second day of the Trump administration to defend @seanspicer’s inauguration crowd lie. Instead of branding her a liar, MTP and every other show and WH reporter rewarded her with daily invites to lie again and again.

The point is yes Kellyanne Conway is an enormous shithead for lying and defending jailing kids and praising nazis and smearing victims of sexual assault and school shootings, but she would not exist without the media’s adoration of her as a liar *and as a person.* They LIKE her.
