okay so i don't know how to phrase it in the best way possible but i would like to reach out to those ninechos who are reading the9 aus.

i will tweet some concerns that i felt the need to be discussed and please point it out to me politely if you found any of it offensive.
this topic will be brought up because i had some discussions with our previous the9 au writer, san (jiaqiscenes / bxqyscenes) who recently left the9 twitter.

i'm pretty sure some of you are very familiar with her and i did ask her why she doesn't plan to continue her au anymore.
now, as a writer of an au myself, i feel very uncomfortable trying to voice it out in public but it has to be said one way or the other.

as an au writer, i know that making an au is more than just fake socmed edits and writing narratives. especially for san—
— she is someone i highly admire in this field.

her social media profile edits start from the scratch (by scratch i mean her photos came from an original basis and was edited to show up different stats such as followers etc) and she is very meticulous in planning her aus.
her student council au reached 10k words on SIMPLE PROFILE BACKGROUND. yes, she spent THAT MUCH EFFORT in her aus.

it took her 4 WEEKS to stabilize an outline and those four weeks included all nighters and countless cups of coffee.

now i know these things are out of the—
— readers control and it is the writer, themselves, who spend that much effort and time on au but honestly..

considering everything a writer had done voluntarily for an au, and all they gets in return is a few likes and nothing more, it may sound bad and demanding—
— for others but it is very heartbreaking on our part.

we do not want to oblige readers to force a reaction, but you know? seeing someone quote tweet your updates even with a simple laughter, with the smallest response? it really compensates for the efforts you exerted on—
— that particular matter. if you are too shy to quote, curiouscat id literally There. it wouldn't hurt to leave a thing or two. no matter how lengthy or short, no matter how wordy or wordless, it eould really mean a lot to RECEIVE SOMETHING after everything the writers have—
— done to create an au/make updates.

this issue does not really apply to me much since my readers are quite interactive (in cc) so far but it took me quite some time to have these people motivating me to write. people are wondering why i update too much on my yuni au than—
— my previous ones?

the answer is very simple. feedbacks, interactions, honestly, basically just KNOWING THAT SOMEONE APPRECIATES YOUR WORK, relieves all the hardwork you exerted and would serve as a motivator for you to do more. honestly, even a simple like that some—
— people used to deprive for small updates, and for those small accounts who are just beginning to write it would really mean a lot to them and well,,

all im saying is to learn how to show more appreciation to the efforts that other people put in their works.
i know writers write to EXPRESS NOT TO IMPRESS but having minimal to no interactions to things that took A LOT OF THEIR TIME, THAT TOOK A LOT OF DEDICATION, well, could you blame them for losing the heart to continue it?

please stop taking writers for granted.
the fact that they are giving you novel-worthy contents for FREE in a social media platform that is open to EVERYONE, it is enough privilege itself for you to at least, leave their works some like, retweets and feedbacks in the form of quote retweets or cc.
this topic is quite hard for me to open up since i know that i am risking myself to receive some backlash and this tweet might be misinterpreted as me, guilttripping readers or being too demanding on my works.. but i feel like i really need to say it on behalf of my writer oomfs.
im sorry if you found this whole thread offensive, but all i want is for everyone to show some appreciation to little things that were made up with pure dedication.

and it just does not apply to aus/oneshots alone !
even those artist oomfs who make fanarts, those who—
— make edits, covers, every single of them deserves some form of appreciation so that they would knoe that all their efforts didn't go to waste.

i hope this thread would be /less misinterpreted/ and instead, gives inspiration for people to appreciate others more.
also, for those small accounts who eants to take their shot at writing aus but are afraid that it will flop, take the risk ! hit me up, ill promote your au the best way i can !

let's help each other grow and appreciate the efforts of other people. we all deserve it ♥️
oh and a clarification : san didn't leave solely because of the au concerns.

there are others reasons behind it that i do not have the right to mention or discuss. so please don't misunderstand it. ♥️
