Did read that blog piece and that last part did reflect exactly what I think
As a young PT heavily biased towards exercise and active therapy I know that some of my colleagues will have the same results resolving patients pain/problematic with passive modalities https://twitter.com/AdamMeakins/status/1297604508420313089
I've been told when I began to work "don't forget to do physio stuff" because I was nearly never using massage/MT or other passive modalities
Nobody acknowledged that listening, building common goals with the patients and actively working toward it actually IS physiotherapy
And that last part, stated that way is exactly how I feel
I know that exercise is no panacea and won't solve every problems
Sometimes it doesn't look like traditional PT to patients & I wont pretend being a better therapist than my colleagues because I mostly make people exercise
But like stated in the last paragraph I'll choose the treatment that has the better secondary effects, that will (hopefully) increase the confidence of the person I work with, make him/her more resilient
The blog piece I enjoyed the most since quite some time
