Just a heads up. I’m stepping away from anything related to console hardware discussion from now on. To many people can’t just chat without an extreme bias getting in the way. It’s ok to have a little bias and be a fan, but some of the personal attacks on sites are stupid.

I’ve spent nearly 20 years in this field, starting out with simple mods, to larger personal projects, to working on assets for professional titles. I’ve been around the block, as it were, and have seen many angles to all this.

I gave things up to teach a good while back but in recent years got ill to the point of having to make large serious life changes that effected me and my family. I now use my spare time to work on a long term indie project, among other things. However, that’s bad for some reason.

Every time I post, I get a wave of idiots making my life hell, who twist words any way to make them “bad”. Previously, I’ve had people try and hack my accounts, send me and my family insults and threats, and even talk disgustingly about raping my daughter.

I’ve now been hounded because I said the words “PS5 RDNA status is up for debate”. It was said not because it wasn’t RDNA 2, but because it’s feature set is still not confirmed fully, something more important in the scheme of things, which was my point.

I’ve never known a fanbase as bad as the Sony fanbase. Absolutely deplorable people who are fanatical to the point of obsession about their plastic box being inferior in any way. I have no gripe with Sony or PlayStation. I have owned every gen and will continue to do so with PS5.

My tweets were about explaining things in a simple way, without over complicating things. Talking about them in basic terms to help people. This is what I do. Yet every time I do I get a massive influx of abuse from the same “side”.

It’s now reached new lows, and to be honest, I’m done with it. I don’t need the hassle. I’ll continue to post stuff relevant to my interests, tutorials, random tech talk... but nothing to do with consoles. Some of you are just far too toxic for me.

To those of you who enjoyed the talks and joined in, thank you. To those of you who just saw it as an avenue for bigger fan wars and used them as bullets to win some pathetic plastic box war... I feel sorry for you. I really do.

I’m sure this will just be more ammo for people to attack. Get it out your system if you’re really that sad. Please do. You can even think “you’ve won”. But that alone should show you something’s not quite right with your thought process.
