1. exile
This song presents both side of an ex love. He asks her why did she leave him, what did he do? She always gave him signs but he was failed to understand them. Even after a hundred chances their relationship didn't work. Tho she's not over him, she has to leave him.

2. hoax
This is from the narrative of the male character. He describes how it was harsh and bad for her to leave him. "You know I left a part of me back in New York" means how he's now an exile to her but he's not over her. He still inside loves her. Yes ik it's so genius.

3. my tears ricochet
In the previous song he tells her, " I am ash from your fire." In mtr she sings,"And if I'm on fire, you'll be made of ashes too." This similar things represents how interlinked these are. Again in this song she tells him if I did bad on you why are you -

still talking about me, still miss me? But also she says that she never had grace. She's not good for him and he's not good for her. Also mentions "your cursing my name, wishing I stayed". This means how he is ill talking about her but still wants to be with her. (MASTERPIECE)

this song again reflects on an event of one of the lovers. They realize how magical their relationship was until it became a frozen ground. These longing stares can't even fulfill the dreams which their relationship had -

Here this song represents how he's trying to change himself. He is controlling his anger for her. ( and my words shoot to kill when I'm mad ) He's trying to be the best version for her. He again arrives at her doorway for forgiveness and to be with her.

This song really describes how the relationship was toxic. How he behaved badly with her, what he did to her. It shows how a man can be angry and that'll be normal but when a woman is angry, people will taunt her. It shows us that not everything has a happy ending.
