Hey y’all! Today I wanna talk about my foodpage on Instagram where I make all kinds of food related content! Here’s a recap of the last two weeks through Instagram’s new REELS function! A RT/FOLLOW CAN GO A LONG WAY IN SUPPORTING ME AS A BLACK QUEER CONTENT CREATOR!!!

Now I want to take things to the next level which is why visibility for unickfood is of great importance to me. Here’s how your RTs & support go a long way in helping me turn a hobby into a full-time & PAID (!!) job

For context, I’m mostly interested in preserving African food culture in the diaspora by incorporating traditional foodstuff into my fusion-style cooking. https://twitter.com/notyournickgurr/status/1270105581634936839
My content ranges from honest restaurant reviews to my own recipes and recipe tutorials. Almost all of my recipes are dairy-free and I allocate significant time towards promoting sustainable plant-based cooking as well! Here are four examples of vegan friendly recipes I created
I provide my followers with all of this free content because I’m passionate about cooking and all things food. My goal is to inspire my peers to not shy away from the kitchen, but to find their own hidden talents while cooking!
My followers seem to be mostly fanatic about my restaurant reviews and recipe tutorials! I’m currently reviewing as many Black-owned restaurants in my current area (Belgium/The Netherlands) as I can. The food critic in me has awakened and just loves making these!
As for my recipe tutorials, which I personally enjoy making the most; I write, film, produce and direct every single video myself from scratch to finish. The editing process is always a challenge, since I only use my IPhone for every step of the process.
I’m still a beginner when it comes to editing, so I’m always open to new recommendations that are not more time-consuming than the process already is for me. Hopefully I’ll be able to afford better equipment in the near future as well!! My previous work is all available on IGTV
As for my communities, unickfood is a celebration of the Black, first generation African immigrant experience in Europe. It’s meant to be a safe space for my fellow Black Queer Folk
but nonetheless accessible to all allies who are actively anti-racist & anti-queer-phobic

Hope this thread gave you a better picture of the philosophies that inspire unickfood! Thank you for reading & supporting unickfood in advance. Your support = engagement & interaction with my content! You have the power to help me secure my first paid gig! So please RT!
