Just let the process play out - business deals of this magnitude and complexity aren’t done in public. You can’t expect a blow by blow account of everything that goes on. #wafc

I also think this weekend has given a lot of people a rude awakening about what exactly administration entails. They aren’t ‘asset stripping’ - that’s what HAS to be done to keep the club alive. #wafc

If you hadn’t noticed Wigan Athletic have zero income right now. BUT are still racking up bills that need to be paid, bills that a new owner won’t want to sink more money into. What’s the only way to raise money to pay them? Selling whatever assets you have #wafc

Administration is a very painful process for any club - just ask any of the fans who have been through it elsewhere - and notions of coming out of the other side with plenty of senior pros still at the club are seriously misplaced. That’s not how it works #wafc

By the same token there IS still time and there ARE people interested in buying the club. It will probably go down to the wire but these things always do - people rich enough to buy clubs generally go by ’if you count the pennies the pounds will look after themselves’ #wafc
