Para sa akin lang ha, wala namang masama sa Baybayin, but I really don't like it. It's being used as an "aesthetic" na lang.

Maybe there's this sense na our culture isn't "unique" enough since wala tayong sariling alphabet kaya sinisubukang ibalik yung Baybayin. https://twitter.com/gmanewsbreaking/status/1297711281143603202
If you look at the sign it uses English and Baybayin. Eh alam naman natin halos walang makakaintindi ng Baybayin. Para sa akin, kung gusto talaga ma-showcase ang kultura natin, di ba dapat Filipino ang ginamit sa sign?
Kung napapansin niyo, more often than not, yung mga signs natin, the words in English are found on top, ta's mas malaki yung font o naka-bold. Yung Filipino naman nasa ilalim tapos hindi naka-bold.
Anyway this thread has gone too long, basta ito lang we shouldn't try to bring back a dead language (especially one that serves no use to anyone anymore). I mean, shouldn't our focus be on those languages that are endangered? I think that would showcase Filipino culture better.
But ofc it's important na we know we had our own writing system before to begin and we should be learning it in our history classes.
