It's only over privileged folk who have spent all their days in town or choose to just bash instead of help align their vision.
The organization might have gaps but to say the boy child has no problems that need addressing is irresponsible. Let's talk about education for example https://twitter.com/Shanto3000/status/1297427924149248000
Out of every 8 initiatives for girl education, how many are there that target boys?...yep that's right zero. Yet there are only 24.2 percent of boys that finish their secondary education.
Granted females come in much lower at 14.9% but does that you can't have at least 1 or few
initiative to focus on fixing the areas that hinder boys from finishing their education.
If you go to primary school, the gap closes even more with only 52% males compared to 48% of females finishing their primary school education.
Now you want to promote a literate nation that
understands women's rights and respects them as a equal but you don't want to educate them appropriately?
Yet the same uneducated men are the ones catcalling women in these streets.
Now granted again, it's not like educated men aren't abusing women, that would be ignorant of me
But you have a better chance of reaching out to educated men as we even have syllabi that include these issues in schools.
Even when it comes to issues of health, 58% are women in sub-saharan Africa have HIV/AIDS, meaning there is 42% men out there, that might even be the cause.
While there all-gender focused initiatives. These still can't pickout root causes of issues that affect men. There are pressures to being a man that need to be managed. There is a reason why suicide rates are higher in men than in women.
It's not a question of whether the female needs more of our attention than men, i think that is clear-cut. No one argues such.
It's recognizing that there is a smart male child and his smart sister that have been told to drop out because his father doesn't have school fees.
His sister gets a bursary and he goes to work on a farm.

If this sits well with you, I ask if you are aiming for equality or to punish a young man for the previous generation's mistakes.
