“ot7” armys and their double standards — a thread about how they stand up for other members vs jimin

before i begin i just want to say i’m not getting angry at ppl speaking up for other members—i’m getting angry at the hypocrisy and double standards. you don’t keep the same energy when it comes to jimin and it’s painfully obvious. i’m not gonna be silent anymore.

as you know they’ve been using an ot6 picture without jm (approved & spread by bh) for TWO DAYS. and NO ONE but pjms cared. y’all gave all these ot6 articles and tweets thousands or even hundreds of thousands of likes.

but the moment something happens to another member? bts is 7

when the drama with melanie and sn happened, everyone jumped to defend th (rightly so).

meanwhile a few months ago when someone made a thread about bh neglecting jm’s hard work (not crediting him for bg vocals, his work on melodies, choreo, etc.), there was ABSOLUTE SILENCE.

when jh was left out of the jpn vcr, armys immediately mass emailed and got it fixed expeditiously.

meanwhile when jm was the only member who didn’t get a solo shot in that ot7 baskin robbins commercial: silence. maybe it’s just a commercial, but if it had been another member?

most people don’t even know about the commercial thing because it was spoken about THAT little. the only tweet i saw about it got maybe 800 likes.

when yg‘s shoulder appeared to be acting up again earlier this year, armys trended #/GetWellSoonY00ngi worldwide.

when jm was seen wearing tape at the airport, armys decided to play doctor and say it’s not a big deal despite knowing he has chronic pain.

on jm’s birthday last year, a hate # was trending for hours in sk. so instead of trending something nice, this is what they trended instead: #/BT5PAVEDTHEWAY. ot7ifying his own birthday. why would they actually stand up for jm after all??

maybe this is annoying, but since i’m double biased, i wanna add that this sometimes happens to jk as well. jm and jk are most likely to be called “privileged”. the fandom resents them and would sooner spit on them than stand up for them, especially against bh or other armys.

i think the response to the who collab was enough to show you that:

1) this fandom genuinely believes that jm and jk are privileged and aren’t treated badly by bh

2) they resent jm and jk very much

3) they will never stand up for jm and jk, so don’t hold your breath.

this is getting attention so here’s a reality check
