#SOCDA2020
Dr. Enriquez, Chairperson of the Chemistry Department begins his presentation.
Dr. Enriquez introduces Ateneo Blue Cloud, the virtual campus of ADMU while Learning management Systems (LMS) such as Canvas and Moodle will be used as medium of instruction.
The first semester will be mostly online. Laboratory classes that will be offered this semester are for Natural Science and Physical Chemistry courses only.
No laboratory fees will be collected. However, students will have to acquire materials by themselves.
The academic year will be divided into quarters to lessen the workload of students. However, some major courses in Chemistry will be delivered as a full semester.
Courses delivered as a full semester and as quarters are both designed to be completed within 60 learning hours.
Faculty members have received training in adapting the courses to the online platforms.
Access to the campus is very limited. Special access is given only after the approval of various offices of the university.
Second semester is still under discussion. Ateneo will be in compliance with the IATF and CHED regulations to be given with regard to the pandemic.
