I’ve read this. And then read it again. And then read it more. I’ve thought on this, and then read it one more time while thinking some more.

I want to share my thoughts on this subject for those that want to hear them.

This is important. Language should be fluid and language https://twitter.com/kyle_borg/status/1296789034732335106">https://twitter.com/kyle_borg...
should change to be more inclusive and forgiving. I appreciate Kyle taking the time to share his thoughts on the matter.

However, and I speak for myself, my family, my friends, and all the great people I’ve met in this fantasy community, nobody that I know of has ever used the
term “ownership” or “handcuff” as a means of dehumanizing people. At the end of the day, we are all playing a very fake sport that we have grown to love and cherish.

Nobody actually owns anyone. Nobody actually is handcuffing or chaining anybody. And there was never an intent
or thought process behind these terms.

The point I’m trying to make is that the necessary change of language will take time. I, for one, have been using these terms since I first started playing fantasy football when I was eight years old with my dad.

Unfortunately, I will
likely slip up and use these terms here on Twitter and in my articles from time to time. Don’t hate me if I do lol. It’s going to take a while for all of us.
