If you are on the left and are falling for #DefundTheBBC then god help us.

It's ours. We own it.

They want to buy it, cheap. Then it will be theirs and they can make huge profits.

#reformtheBBC is the way to go.

Selling it to Murdoch http://et.al  won't help.
1. Getting a lot of the same responses here so I'll try to address them.

The 'Liberal Bias' the right is obsessed about does not exist or at least not in the way they think it does. The BBC is dominated by the right.
2. The Chairman is a Tory.
The presenter of Daily politics, is a Tory.
The presenter of Question Time is a Tory and Paxman, a long-time presenter of News Night was a Tory.
The confusion stems from this picture I keep posting.
3. A 'Liberal consensus does exist. Racism bad, homophobia bad, war, justifiable under some circumstances, and so on and so forth.
The Racist right sees bias because racism exists in the sphere of deviance.

Open racism is met with firings.
4. The lettered right see bias because topics such as 'Same-Sex Marriage and second ref Brexit' fall under the sphere of legitimate debate where many, (although not all) think it should be treated as deviant.
5. The left see Bias because subjects such as 'War of national interest' and the supremacy of Capitalism are treated as consensus issues by most journalists.

That fact that these spheres shift over time exacerbates the whole thing.
6. In the 1950s for example, for most people in the media homosexuality was deviant. It moved into a legitimate debate and now, most free-thinking people including journalists see it as a consensus issue.
7. Twitter is no place to offer a nuanced response to perceived bias but the fact that the BBC, for example, operates in the consensus sphere in areas anathema to you personally does not prove anything.

My point, if, I have one, is that the issue is complicated.
