self MEDICATING is a different story ofc. that’s when u can accidentally make things worse for urself!! :( I’d recommend that anyone who suspects they may have adhd find some coping skills online, watch youtubers w/ it give advice, create strict boundaries for urself etc.
but, remember that within boundaries, there has to be enough room to move around. don’t beat urself up!!!! set some goals and celebrate if u get some of them done!! if u get them all done, celebrate even more!! if u dont get them done at all, ask what happened and work backwards.
it took me almost a year to realize that I can’t fix the things I do wrong if I keep doing the same things that mess me up in the first place...sounds easy but it’s not. what were u doing before? write it down. then write the opposite of each point and do that instead

obvi don’t neglect essential stuff like sleep or smthn, but I realized I procrastinate so hard, not because I choose NOT to do it, but because I choose to do something ELSE. that’s how I stopped convincing myself that I chose to fail when I didn’t. I just chose the wrong thing.
