I am 3 episodes into Dark and it is really good so far, but both because I do not like things and because shows rarely ever land stuff like this, I am having trouble believing they land this.
Through 6. The casting in this is so good.
A lot of other stuff is very bad so this is a Dark only account now. We’re doing more timelines? We’re doing more timelines.
Season 1 down. This fucking show, c’mon.
I was totally willing to be like "Okay, they wrapped that up tight, nice job," and call it at one season if necessary. Oh you sweet naive child, what made you think they would do that.
Started season 2. Someone said "I've got 25 hours worth of this, and it just keeps stacking on new shit," and a producer really said "Let's fucking goooooooo!" Also, with S2 they've started putting [oppressive music] as a caption and that's extremely good.
S2E2. I want to take a bite of the time anomaly. Just a little taste, I promise.
A small nibble is all I’m asking.
Jesus Christ that montage.
This is not an exact parallel but Dark falls into this category of entertainment like Outer Wilds where after a certain point any detail of the experience becomes hard to talk about without spoiling huge revelations.
A lot of spoiler conversation is just entitled people being unreasonable but there are certain works where it feels like it’s a whole different category of thing, where it’s not a twist it’s the nature of the experience.
S2 Finale: ahhhahaha sure why not
S3E1: Okay, I know the ethos of this whole thing has been just piling And Thens? on top forever but like there are only 7 episodes left and this feels like they may have finally tried to do too much.
