3 people mistakeningly gave me the okay to talk about my favorite breeds of cats on here. So welcome to my lovely thread of cat breeds I really love.

I was gonna do my top ten list but I feel it would be more fun to just make it random.
I will probably continuously add to this, so sorry if y’all get random cat talk on your feed randomly.

The first lucky cat to make the list, is the Selkirk Rex. They are extremely curly and I just absolutely love how unique they look. Fun fact is the first of the breed appeared in a shelter in Montana and when breed with a Persian it was found the curls were a dominant trait.

The Selkirk Rex to me is one of the most unique looking cats out there. But people tend to misunderstand their fur type and bash owners for “not grooming them properly”. When in actuality you don’t want to brush them too frequently as it will harm the curls.

Anothe day, another cat to add to this thread. Another one of my absolute favorites is the oriental short hair. The oriental is closely related to the Siamese and was created by crossbreeding with breeds like Abyssinians & Russian Blues.

Fun fact about this breed is they have the more color variations and patterns than any other breed. This breed is also extremely intelligent and is believed to be one of the most or thee smartest breed of cat. My favorite trait of this breed is their unique meow.
