recovering from internalized colorism/racism/homophobia is okay and valid, as long as at the end of the day you treat yourself with understanding, kindness, and love (inspo: @intronamgi)

you don’t always have to fit in as long as you’re happy with yourself

your family, friends, and peers don’t control your life. so live it however you please and love who you want to love

to take a break from the constant fight to take care yourself is valid

wanting to protect your hair styles, clothes, and other cultural things from being culturally appropriated, is valid

not wanting to be fetishized and calling someone out for doing it is valid

stereotypes making you uncomfortable and angry is valid

not (always) feeling connected to your culture is okay and valid

your ideas, opinions, and reactions are valid

your flag’s colors are pretty

love is love no matter your skin color, race, or gender

your skin tone is perfect and beautiful no matter how dark or how light it is, don’t let anyone else tell you differently

being confused/struggling with your identity and taking however long to figure it out is valid ( @intronamgi)

coming out on your own terms and whenever you want is valid ( @paintedtaehyung)

it’s your right to fall in love with whoever you want to

your sexuality doesn’t make you phobic of another one*

it’s okay to not have your sexual or gender identity labeled yet, you can change it and change it again. labels are there to help you understand yourself. but they’re aren’t as important as you think, whatever you choose is still valid ( @fltrgloss @Magnethic_flux)

it’s okay to change your sexuality and gender over and over again until you find what’s right for you

not wanting to be in any one box is valid

you don’t have to change to be loved ( @webareseokjin)

where you come from isn’t something to be ashamed of

because of your life and experiences, its valid and okay to not trust people fast

being scared to go places in fear of being judged or discriminated against is valid
