The many Japanese voices of Dr. Mashirito throughout Dr. Slump (and Dragon Ball Super too!)

Yasuo Yamada is my personal favourite, Mr. Lupin himself.
He brings a lot to the role, giving Mashirito both a sinister and sympathetic presence. Also THAT SONG. đź‘Ś
Akio Nojima was clearly just there to be a placeholder voice actor since Mashirito would not appear for another 40 episodes (quite an underwhelming introduction in the anime, wouldn’t you say?). However, I think he’s pretty good and is very similar to the portrayal by Yamada.
Nachi Nozawa, Ohh this dude is fantastic! Very charismatic and expressive in the role. He’s my second favourite of the bunch.
Keiichi Noda’s portrayal was unique amongst them all to say the very least! The most villainous sounding. It’s like Nachi’s Mashirito snapped after being thrown in hell a few times.. Which is exactly what happened! It’s okay.
Akira Kamiya is where the start of “super pathetic” Mashirito began. Considering his situation and character at that point, it’s very fitting.. As much as I dislike the patheticness his character was brought to.
Ryōtarō Okiayu in the remake was similar to Akira Kamiya’s, though the whininess and incompetence of Mashirito is especially spotlighted. It’s surprisingly good, especially when he freaks out with inhuman anime noises.
RyĹŤtarĹŤ Okiayu also reprises Mashirito in Super, most likely due to past voice actors passing away (RIP). I really love it. My third favourite for sure.. Too bad it was just as short lived.
I know nobody cares to read this thread but that’s my passion for this anime for you. Mashirito being my second favourite Dr. Slump character and meaning a lot to me heh..

Until next time. Likes and retweets greatly appreciated. 💞❤️
