izuku here is self projecting onto shouto and comparing his own situation to try and understand shouto's feelings. he tells shouto that if he truly hated endeavor, shouto would just say it and be done with it. this is exactly how izuku feels about bakugou. horikoshi himself has
said that what bakugou did is pretty unforgivable and he needs to apologize. izuku was clearly affected and this panel proves he's been sorting through his own feelings abt his own bullying this whole time
so when people "compare" endeavor and bakugou, its not a matter of who abused who more, its about how both characters are in a similar boat of needing to apologize to the people they've hurt. you can say bakugou can be more easily forgiven bc he's a child, but that decision is
entirely up to izuku and his alone. he was the one who was hurt and affected, it's solely his choice. that's how forgiveness works. him and shouto are in a similar boat as well because of that
with that said, it is still the difference between an adult and a child. endeavor's growth arc is not about redemption but atoning, and while bakugou can learn from endeavor's situation, his growth arc is different because he is still a child and has a lot to learn
AM wants bkg to see the current endeavor, the one who is struggling to gain atonement bc of the ppl he hurt to achieve his goal. AM sees that their goals are similar and doesn't want bkg to make the same mistakes, to be able to let go of his pride and gain humility
