sees them drenched in rain nd his heart races
they give him a big smile and heâs struck dumb
he sees them cry for the first time and his heart aches to stop the tears
when they hold his face he feels like he could stay there forever
feels like flowers bloom in his chest when he sees them talk and laugh and smile and live
when they look him in the eyes it knocks the wind out of him
he could stay in their arms forever and be content to feel safe and warm
when he sees them interact with the people he holds dear he sees his entire life laid out before him
when he sees them first thing in the morning he hopes he gets to see that for the rest of his life
when he sees something that reminds him of them he has to pause to catch his breath
wants nothing more than to lay down and listen to them talk for eternity
keeps the photos hes taken of them safe and separate
when he thinks of his future he canât imagine it without them
he calls his mom and tells her about them bc heâs so sure about them
he doesnât need their number on speed-dial bc he has it memorized
he remembers their orders ,, picks his food with them in mind just in case they want a bite
lays on his own bed and subconsciously leaves room for them too
listens when they speak and doesnât just wait for his turn to speak
kisses their cheek just bc he Can
when they walk together he chooses the side closest to the street
he asks questions when they tell him about things that make them happy
he slow dances with them even when thereâs no music even when theyâre tired even when theyâve fought even when theyâre sad
he keeps their cityâs time on his phone
thinks there is no better sound than them laughing out his name
asks them for their opinion bc he respects them so much
when they compliment him he glows
when they ask why heâs staring at them his answer never changes
