The idea that a Corbyn government would be worse than the current one, at dealing with the coronavirus crisis, misses the fact that the Conservatives messing up is down to ideology as much it is about incompetence
So: the Tories could be super-competent and would still have privatised test and trace, for example. Labour would not have done so, and public sector/local authorities would have run it far better. Just as one example.
This is what happens when we don't analyse government failures fully - looking at competence as the only measure and airbrushing the ideological factors driving their pandemic response
