Opening with “and your grade is?” before even letting me discuss a case and following it up with “I don’t expect to have to discuss this with someone so junior” is just frankly rude.

Maybe let’s discuss the case before you weigh in with that?

Also I’m clearly having a VERY GOOD TIME AT THE MOMENT

After all this chat about having to filter interruptions I might ask specifically which nurse triaged the patients as I’m handed 3 gases and 4 ECGs while making plans for another 4 patients. “Sorry I don’t look at gases that were planned by band 5s”.

What grade of prehospital clinician brought this patient in? A tech? Ah no take them home and get an advanced paramedic to see them first. I’ve got juniors to teach and other patients to see I can’t be interrupted by the decision making of a tech.

Also please know my reg held the phone to his ear and I fed him every line of the history/exam and answered all the radiologist’s questions via my reg. He offered nothing new. The scan was approved no problem. It’s an utter farce.

Is there an option for “only registrars or above can reply”?
