Based on the above numbers, with both Werner's former and new clubs having almost identical xG, we should expect Werner to have roughly the same number of goals/assists as last season (28/8) which amasses for 136 pure return points (without appearance or bonus points)

Martial
Martial slightly over performed his xG and xA last season. In 19/20 the frenchman scored 17 and assisted 6, combining to a total of 86 Pure return #FPL points (no bonus, no appearance points, and goals worth 4 points to take his reclassification into account)

Conclusion

Werner can be explosive in #FPL if he is able to reproduce his Bundesliga form. Stats suggests he is, but you never know with players new to the #EPL

Martial is a safe bet. Not as explosive as Werner is expected to be, but proven in #EPL and £0.5m cheaper.

Werner comes with a small risk but huge reward ceiling. His initial fixtures

are not bad at all too.
Martial is EPL proven, nailed on starter, talisman, cheaper, but blanks in GW1 and has a lower ceiling than Werner!
