Do you guys wanna talk about jealousy in art spaces on social media? Because I kind of do.
I feel like we all go through this and we're ashamed of it like it's an ugly terrible feeling no one can know about and not a human reaction to seeing someone do something cool and wanting to experience it firsthand.

And I think that repressing those feelings makes them worse .
Instead of 'i wanna do that too' it becomes 'they don't deserve - -', 'I'm better at - - why don't I have this', etc. Social media is the perfect breeding grounds for this kind of comparisons but I think it's in our power to maybe change the way we see it and feel better?
When in your lifetime have you ever read only books by one author? or just one specific comic title by one artist. Or enjoyed just one musician and no others? I feel like competitiveness is good to push you but when taken too far it kind of muddles your reality
There's room for any numbers of successful people. Understand that obviously they're not posting about their struggles and failures as much as they are their successes because it's obviously easier to share happy things. You can learn from them, study them.
Maybe I don't have as big a point as I thought I did when I started this thread, I feel like I just rambled. TL'DR Acknowledging jealousy is starting to feel like the only way to make it chill out so maybe do that instead of letting it grow out of control
