lo fi is not a fucking genre it is a style of production that can feasibly exist in service of any genre please stop

there have been lo-fi scenes for everything from psych rock to acid techno but when u apply it to wallpaper instrumental hip hop suddenly it can just be a shorthand for a specific sound? no.
