Let BIPOC make mediocre content, and just have dumb fun...not everything they make has to be groundbreaking or exemplary.

It’s tiring when “mediocre” media made by BIPOC is constantly criticized to a larger degree than the hundreds of other basic shows, comics, etc. made by white guys.

Why are we upheld to a ridiculous standard and expected to be revolutionary? How come we can’t just have fun?

Why are we upheld to a higher standard? How come when our works aren’t ground-shaking and spectacular, it’s considered a shame? Why aren’t we allowed the luxury of just being “blah?”

There’s always this expectation that everything we do has to be to prove a point or else we won’t get respected or some bs like that. It’s tiring.
