🦋Natural Childbirth Tips for the Hospital🦋 Okay I’m going to only give a small amount of information on this on Twitter because it’s a lot lol. But I’ll be launching a podcast soon under this name to talk about everything related to birth as a birth professional for BIPOC
Birthing people. In the meantime, let’s get into it. A natural childbirth consists of using non-medical interventions for labor and childbirth. This helps to have less invasive practices as well. These tips I’m providing are tips I give my clients and have proven to be
Successful especially for first time birthing persons. I had a first time mom adopt everything underlined in my Empowered Birth Protocol that’s debuting in November and had a birth that lasted a total of 8 hours with pushing included. So let’s talk birth:
One of the most important hormones during labor is oxytocin. It’s the love hormones. It’s the hormones that is secreted during labor, childbirth, love-making, breastfeeding and more. Pitocin is a synthetic version of oxytocin, which is why it’s used during labor.
One of the easiest ways to get your labor going and going with a bang is boosting your natural production of oxytocin. How can you do this? By sharing intimate moments with your partner during labor. If you are in a romantic partnership, this is crucial. I know you’re like
I don’t want to touch anyone during labor! But here me out! Touch stimulates oxytocin. The softest, loving and warm embraces boosts oxytocin. It helps for it to flow correctly and makes the other birth hormones kick into high gear as well. Light touches, kisses, hugs, etc
Boosts your oxytocin levels significantly. This is also where a doula comes into play because we offer emotional, physical and spiritual support during childbirth. When a woman feels supported during birth, she feels powerful. She feels LOVED. The more LOVED she feels, the more
That oxytocin gets flowing in the body. The more she feels protected, the more she lets her guard down and allows her body to flow the way it was designed to flow. Did you know that there is a spiritual link to every single dis-ease? Including pregnancy and postpartum
Complications.. we will have that discussion on their day. But for now, boosting the oxytocin allows for labor to progress quicker, it jumpstarts the other birth hormones to flow effortlessly, providing the ability for birth to naturally progress in a healthy way.
If you don’t have a partner, enlist in the support of a doula to provide you with support during childbirth. We provide a certain kind of touch that is still considered intimate because we are naturally nurturing. And if you can’t afford a doula or find one, get someone
You have a great relationship with, like mom or mom figure, friend, sister, etc to offer that intimate support as well. The goal is for you to feel supported during childbirth but also feel empowered, safe and loved. This is what doulas provide and then some!
Another tip: please labor at home for as long as you can! Please also invest in a doula!! Your doula comes to you when you’re in early labor and can really help you manage early labor. The reason why most women experience induction is because of the timeline doctors have
Based upon your gestation. The more you labor at home, the more your labor will progress naturally and healthier at HOME. We have a rule.. go to the hospital at either 4-1-1 or 5-1-1. This means when your contractions are 4-5 minutes apart, they last for one minute &
This pattern continues for 1 or more hours. THEN go to the hospital because you are in active labor. And when you get to the hospital, continue to boost your own oxytocin levels with the tips I mentioned earlier. Refuse epidural if you can, as epidurals can block oxytocin
Productions by disrupting the receptors. I could go on and on but I don’t want this thread to be too long! I hope this helps someone! I’ll be offering $15 birth plans in September to those who are looking to have assistance building their birth plans. My normal price for this
