What they are wearing are not durags. They are used for neck protection from the sun in the desert. They are trying to give Atiny clues they they are going back to the desert. This has nothing to do with ca. Yunho was wearing one in the PK MV IN THE DESERT.

Those who live in the desert and near the equator would recognize these as neck/shoulder sun protection. Durags have a completely different use. They are used for protecting weaves and curls patterns.

Ateez visited Morocco, and when they did they probably saw these being used, so they saw no problem using it in their costumes.

I would like to add that I am not trying to disregard black atiny. I understand why they would be confused with durags. But given the context, they are clearly not durags. On the other side of the world, they are different things with different uses.

I can see people ate saying they still look a lot like durga, especially the texture and tails. However, they are styled with caps, another indication that this is what they were going for. Their stylist may have been looking for a creative take on these lomd of hats+

And stumbled across them. Because if the context, I am still sticking with this.
