why i'm deactivating this account (please read)
ok, so, as you may have noticed, i have a new random @. this is because i'll be deactivating this account and starting a new one, which you can already follow ( @hello_i_am_B)
basically, i was thinking of creating a new account for a while, mostly because i was thinking of deleting my Tweets in which i used AAVE, which, as a non-Black person, i believe i shouldnt be using
however, i tried looking for my old Tweets and Twitter regular and advanced search didnt work and i dont want to spend a lot of time scrolling through my Tweets + replies looking for them
because of this, i have made the decision to start a new account and deactivate this old one
so... as i said, you can now go follow me on @hello_i_am_B!
I would also like to apologize to Black people for appropriating AAVE and using it as a non-Black person. I have read threads by multiple users on Twitter (which I can link below) that helped me understand why it's not OK for me to use it. I will no longer do this.
alright, an update to this thread: after a suggestion made by @WISHINGIWOULD, my new account's @ is now @RayOfFolklore!
