This is proof that @ravelry lied with their claim that "classic" mode was still the same. The key is in the fonts. On the left is the site code from April 2020, the right is code from yesterday.

The first image shows the old font - Verdana at hex #000 - black. The second image is the new classic - Arial at hex #333 - dark grey.

Why is this so important? 1. @ravelry claimed that Classic mode was still the same. It obviously isn't. Many of us have said it isn't for the last 2+ months.
This means Ravelry lied. Period.

2. The change in font color - dark grey font is harder to focus on, and the font change was just minor enough that it was hard to tell. Checking screenshots from before June proves it - the font is different.

@gwennolmarie caught that the hex codes with the green were different as well.

All of this adds up to minor details. Sure, the font's different and the color is slightly off, why make a big fuss?
Because I've now had a migraine for 21 days because of "classic" mode. Classic mode was supposed to be safe for everyone. It's not.

Nothing has been done to rectify any of the problems we're all experiencing. This is hundreds of people locked away from their social circles in a pandemic. This is hundreds of people who are experiencing severe medical problems due to a poorly designed website.

We have to hold @ravelry accountable for this. When you falsely claim something is safe and refuse to believe when folx tell you it isn't? That's a problem.

As my friend said, this is the skin of the old site over the bones of the new site. All these little changes add up and cause problems. It's not properly tested. It's not properly implemented. And it's causing all manner of trouble.

I didn't hold out much hope before, but this has completely shattered any and all belief that I had that maybe Ravelry would try to fix things.
Because this proves, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that they were lying. And they know they're lying.
