When the strip region was renamed to Zambezi Region, after the Great Zambezi River, some people from there were angry, and wanted to stick to Caprivi. To this day some still call themselves Caprivians with Pride, to identify as loyal subjects of colonizer Leo von Caprivi.
They don't even identify with their own tribes. They are Mafwe, Masubia, Matotela, Mayeyu, etc, but they identify with the colonizer's name.

Then Government said, here, we give you a name of African origin, after the River you grew up around. But they're just stuck with Master.
While Ovaherero are vandalizing a street sign of Von Trotha street, and activists fought to rename Bismarck street (Bismarck was succeeded by Leo von Caprivi btw), the people of Zambezi region would defend the name, legacy of their colonizer Leo von Caprivi with all they got.
When you call yourself a Caprivian (a colonizer's name), and you carry that with pride wherever you go, yet you're not biologically related to that name, you look like a sheep with a tag in its ear carrying around the name of the owner. You're like their property / subject.
They're ashamed to say I am a Mafwe / Masubia. They just tell you I am Caprivian. What generation of Leo von Caprivi are you to say that?

Even in Germany, names of colonizers are unwanted, but in Zambezi region, thousands of people are proud to identify with 1 (one) colonizer.
