I spoke with the Foreign Minister of Kosovo about the need to secure justice for wartime victims who were systematically murdered and raped in a campaign of ethnic cleansing by Milosevic, one of the worst war criminals in the 20th century.

Milosevic was known as the Butcher of the Balkans, his very name synonymous with ethnic cleansing. Among his murder victims were the three Bytyqi brothers, American citizens who, as captives, were shot in the head in cold blood. Justice for the Bytyqi brothers is long overdue.

We must never lose our sense of moral urgency in the fight against genocide, ethnic cleansing, and all crimes against humanity.
