Blackpink's mistreatment under YGE, a thread

Blackpink have been under yg for around decade now and have faced continous mistreatment during their trainee years and after their debut.

I apologize in advance if this doesn't cover everything, the list goes on forever

During their trainee years, blackpink kept having their debut pushed back for 4 YEARS,

which resulted in members leaving and the only ones who remained were lisa, jennie, rosé and jisoo, now known as blackpink

When blackpink finally debuted in august 2016, yg didn't promote them.

He only released a few pictures for each member and a dance practice video.

In comparison to other groups, this is nothing

Yg also promised to release 8 music videos in 2016 alone, that obviously didn't happen.

We only got whistle, boombayah, playing with fire and stay (4).

We only completed 8 mvs this year with aiiyl, d4, ktl, hylt. (Solo excluded)

Blackpink were immediately sent into hiatus for a whole year then came back with aiiyl as a gift song with a promise to come back with a full album later that year.

We're yet to get said album to this day

Blackpink went on another hiatus after aiiyl, to come back with square up, a mini album.

An almost 2 year old group with no full album...

Regardless, square up was a huge success

Then yg dropped the news of jennie having her solo debut. That was a mess in all sorts of ways.

Some were mad because jennie had her solo debut before the rest, others were mad because they felt like blackpink should have more group releases first and others were yg stans-

Who hated on jennie because they wanted someone else under the company to have their solo.

Then, the company got into a huge scandal in 2019 and had to give blackpink a last minute comeback to same themselves from bankruptcy.

Ktl was a huge success internationally and Coachella was a cultural reset.

Despite blackpink being kind of boycotted in sokor due to being under yg

Blackpink were put into another long hiatus till how you like that, their latest comeback.

Blackpink have been defamed by everyone since their predebut.

YG stans who wanted the company's focus on their faves and bitter blackjacks.

Then with square up, everyone realised how powerful blackpink actually are and started trashing them too

Jennie's solo era was horrible when it came to that because the defamation jennie went through was on another level, making the woman apologize on her own birthday.

Blackpink continued to get defamed with a reason and without everyday on youtube, twitter, instagram and others

YG didn't take any action regarding all of this. Nothing at all

Not even when other weird sht happened like trespassing of a fanmeeting

Not only did YG not give blackpink ny comebacks, he also didn't promote the ones he gave them once every year.

They only had a performances or two. No variety show appearances, which are very imortant or anything.

He only mentions them when he can brag about their achievements

Blackpink also get horrible makeup, if they get any, recycled choreos and similarly structured comebacks

Blackpink also don't have any creative freedom despite proving it's not because they can't.

Blackpink also don't attend award shows a lot. Last year, they attended none.

YG lso never puts any effort into blackpink's performances, the most they did was put them in a cage...

Blackpink don't get to show their own talents and their official positions aren't really given justice

Blackpink have also complained various times about lots of these things so miss me with the "they like this" or "they're not mistreated"

Gonna add that they never addressed the l4zy scandal and it's only getting cleared up now when jennie went through hell because of it

The continuous delay in chulichaeng's solos is very disheartening and they stop them from showing their talents.

This also only fuels more hate towards jennie, which they still do nothing about

Another thing is the lack of effort when it comes to anything blackpink related.
