Thinking about Gabe’s cookbook entry & Sombra being shocked to find out he can actually cook, & cook shit she really likes & reminds her of home no less. & Gabe hates cooking these days but Sombra gets so enthusiastic abt it that he kind of has too.

He’s forgotten a lot & can’t find the recipe on his phone so Sombra steps in & tries to fill in his gaps. & they don’t have the same recipe but it’s nice to be around someone who reminds him of family again. In Blackwatch he rarely got home, as Reaper he can’t. He’s missed this./

Sombra’s terrified, meanwhile, bc this is the shit her great-aunt taught her when she was working at the bakery, this is the inescapable Olivia she carries with her. She needs to keep that shit under wraps if she wants to survive. She doesn’t trust Gabe, he doesn’t trust her./

But Gabe looks happy, & he hasn’t looked happy in so long. & this reminds her of home, & she hasn’t had a home in so long.
They have dinner together. Gabe tells her he can’t taste very well anymore. She tells him good, he added way too much salt.

Anyway Gabe makes Sombra his chili if he knows she's been pulling too many all-nighters & Gabe is the only person other than Widow Sombra will bake cookies for.
