1. Are children at risk of COVID 19?

- Children are not at higher risk to the disease, however few children are developing multisystem inflammatory syndrome(MIS-C) as evidence suggests.
2. What is MIS-C?

- A condition where different body parts can become inflamed, including the heart, lungs, kidneys, brain, skin, eyes, or gastrointestinal organs. MIS-C can be serious, even deadly. Can get better with adequate medical care.
3. How to protect my child?

- Teach them basic things such as -
a. Avoid close contact with sick people
b. Cover your mouth with a tissue while coughing or sneezing
c. Stay away from crowded place

You need to practice these by yourself as well.
4. Are the symptoms different than adults?

- No. The symptoms of COVID-19 are similar in children and adults.

5. Should children wear mask?

- @CDCgov recommends everyone 2 years & older wear a mask that covers their nose and mouth in public settings.
6. Can children play with their friends?

- If children are playing outside their homes, it is essential that they remain 6 feet from anyone who is not in their own household. Some children with certain underlying medical conditions are at higher risk for severe illness.
7. How can I keep my child healthy?

a. Watch your child for any signs of illness.
b. Watch for signs of stress in your child.
c. Teach and reinforce everyday preventive actions.
d. Help your child stay active.

8. Is my child with underlying health conditions is at higher risk?

9. What if my child's pre-existing medical condition get worse?

- Inform your family physician immediately and seek help. Do not medicate your child on your own.
10. How about my child's diet?

- Children will take balanced diet with all essential nutrients. Fruits, vegetables, good proteins are crucial. DO NOT feed your child processed snacks, chips or sugary foods.
