Okay seeing as I am dangerously close to hitting 1k I am going to get *weird*.

What we do in building civilization is not unnatural. It is not outwith the natural order. It is natural to use tools and build shelter. To make use of the environment.

Humans simply eclipse others in scale. Civilization is a natural step once you master writing and the continuation of ideas. And that's where the real evolution is happening. Ideas, meta-entities existing across hundreds and thousands and millions of sapients.

These ideas given life and agency by these same sapients that become the tools and the hands of these beings of thought that we create through collective abstract thought. Money controls us all, yet it is not real.

Ideas and civilization is how evolution gets past cycles of extinction. How it propagates past the void of space, and grows in a new direction. We need only seize control of the narrative and the ideas in charge.

The way the current set of ideas remains in power is a clever little trick of making you see you as not one of many in service of an ideal, but as a lone individual and a rational actor looking to better yourself. Through distortions it makes all of your actions look selfish.

You are not selfish unless you choose to be. And in any case, you are not an individual but an extension of a larger entity (or multiple, humans are complex) in your community, in your beliefs and what drives you.

Such is the power of belief and conviction that it sublimates you into something greater, something more. You are not small. You are one of many, part of something more. Ideas guide humanity like terrain guides rivers. Until we come to terms with our collective nature. . .

. . . We are powerless in which river we flow down.
