Everyone is so afraid of kids falling behind and not being taught properly - well thats the reality - its impossible for them to have the same educational experience they've always had. Teachers literally cant teach the
way the did and kids cant learn the way they did. Instead of throwing money at it, we need a new model that can be accessed by everyone..and IT WILL be 'less' than before but thats the reality in a pandemic. Look at what CAN be done and DO THAT WELL. Of course lots parents
saying they 'cant wait to get kids back and out of their hair, and bloody teachers dont want to work'.. But my heart breaks for the kids when they say they're looking forward to going back to school and cant wait to see everyone. The norm they are heading back into is sitting
at the same table,in the same room for every subject, bar optional ones.Staying at that table for break and lunch.Staying with that class. No seeing friends during the day and wearing a mask for 7hrs. And people say the kids need to go back for their well-being!!Thats not my idea
of well-being.I think the normal concept of education needs to be reviewed in this whole thing. Its ridiculous to try and achieve standards that existed before all of this. A new Covid Model of Education needs to be developed until a vaccine is found and everyone is back to normal
