niche musician complaint incoming: there& #39;s a piece i& #39;ve been practicing for work today (yes i& #39;m going back to work, yes i have fear, but yes i think it& #39;s being done p safely)

and for some reason there& #39;s this one interval of a 5th that i REALLY want to sing as a 7th??
for those who are not musicians, fifths are the bedrock of basically all western harmony and sevenths are uhhhh not. so having this particular difficulty is weird.
i looked at the harmony to see if i could understand why i& #39;m having issues but the fifth, the note i have to go to, is LITERALLY the root of the chord. is it TOO obvious? am i overcorrecting??
working theory is that with the climbing melody in the second line i want to KEEP going up at line three to increase the momentum, but instead the resolution comes earlier than I expect.
and yes unfortunately a lot of the music i sing for work is this unexciting. in a normal year we get some much more compositionally interesting pieces as well, rather than All Hymns All The Time, but under current circumstances we& #39;re really stripped back
