1/ When I was 6, my family and I were driving to NH for a vacation. I’ve been an inquisitive person since I was little- and I’ll never forget when when my (very depressed/bipolar) mother yelled at me from the passenger seat and told me to stop asking so many questions. After an
2/ uncomfortable few minutes, my dad turned back to me & told me to never stop asking questions. To never lose my depth. Never stop learning. Never hold my thoughts prisoner in my mind. Both moments stuck with me. The negative experience of my mother being upset with me for,
3/ quite frankly, being myself.. and the positive experience of my father embracing my qualities. The point of this thread is that both negative & positive moments will stick with you. But you have the ability to choose which one you live by, which one you keep stuck at the
4/ forefront of your mind... my hope is that you choose the positive ones.❤️
