/5 Hey @waitrose Is it usual to include veg that needs using on day of del/meat the day after and other veg with 2 days in it? £170 order delivered 9pm last Thursday & 48 hrs later I notice sausages out of date and veg spoiling.
/5 Emailed customer services after checking everything else and they tell me this is normal, quote “We try to allow a minimum of 2-3 days date starting from the day of delivery...
/5...”In the case of our soft fruit such as strawberries, blueberries etc and our loose vegetables, they do come to us with just a day or two before they reach their best before.

As we don't use any kinds of preservatives or pesticides to help improve their shelf life...
/5...the longest best before date you'll receive for these products is two days after your delivery but in many cases, it will just be one day based on the time your order is picked and leaves the branch. “ I didn’t order soft fruit or loose apart from...
/5 parsnips which aren’t dated because, erm, they’re loose 🤷‍♀️Min order for delivery is £60. Am I supposed to order 3 X £60 a week for ensure food isn’t out of date? Shockingly poor service you offer. Can’t wait for @marksandspencer to start delivering next month!
