After a few years under Chavismo we barely had money for food and maybe to go to the movies once in a while. After she retired she had to wait +5Y to get her retirement payment, and by that time our currency was already so devaluated that all she got was 500 USD.

That& #39;s what 25Y of hard work were worth to the Chavismo. Some of her friends are still working as teachers in Venezuela, and they& #39;re all going through though times there.

PD: my mom just corrected me, she actually had to wait +7Y to get her retirement.
