A THREAD ON WAGES OF YOUTH PLAYERS.

All though it says youth players I will be focusing mainly on Callum Hudson Odoi , Bayern Munich & Chelsea Saga in 2019. He is one of the young players who is believed to be getting way more wages than he should be getting at his age.
I agree to some extent Callum's wages were unjustified but it's not a huge spending for Chelsea like people make it seem that we've been forced into paying huge wages for an unproven talent. So we take it from this concept Chelsea are currently spending 120k on Callum Hudson Odoi
That's excluding Performance related Bonuses and other contractual clauses.
So Chelsea will be spending approximately £28.8m in 5years that's the length of his contract. Imagine if Chelsea were to go out and buy another winger we would be spending not less than 60-70m..
That's including wages , the incoming winger would've cost not less than 40m in today's inflated market. After paying a transfer fee of £40m, CFC would then have to pay the wages of the player which will be in the same region as Callum's that's 120k per week = 28.8m in 5years.
Taking the total Package for a new winger to approximately £68m to £70m excluding performance related bonuses and other Contractual Clauses.
Now assuming you are in the shoes of Chelsea would you rather go out and spend £70m on another winger with potential just like Callum
Or you will choose the cheaper option that's spend just 28.8m on Callum for 5years ? There is no Guarantee that the incoming player is going to perform at higher level than Callum. Chelsea went with the best and safest option that's invest in the potential of Callum.
Now to the Bayern Munich Side of things , they were going to spend £40m on Callum that will be excluding performance related bonuses and Contractual Clauses then spend a 140k a week on Wages =£33.6m which takes the total spent to £73.6m for 5years.

Take it from both sides
Chelsea is investing 28.8m in the same potential Bayern were willing to invest £73.6m.
Now unto Callum's resale Value which will allow Chelsea to Coup every investment they've made earlier, assuming he doesn't live up to his potential Chelsea are definetly going to sell and that will be not less than £30m so Chelsea invested 28.8m and would one way or the other
Make profit off it, if he he lives upto his potential he is going to be an £80m winger which makes the £28.8m spent earlier not that Expensive as it seems.
Ending the thread ,Chelsea are investing in potential and they're not at the losing end if things don't work out and I will edge all CFC fans to devoid of bringing up wages as the reason why they abuse young players. #SupportyourOwn.
