characters and male friendships get more thoughtful writing in most pieces od media its also probably just shipping characters who have the most realistic or interesting character development and dynamix

dudes getting it on is, it's not inherently bad depending on the person and if they dont treat real people like that and theyre mindful of the fact that theres definitelybshit out there that's romanticized or portrayed as the norm and it can be kinda harmful

and theres prpbably some pretty decent series out there that are just sweet that lgbtq+ ppl enjoy and maybe are made by queer artists and authors who are closeted or arent
