But, we don't ever see it happen. Why?

The formula of marquee investors is made-to-fit their persona. It is a bespoke creation.

It won't fit our mindset & attitude & behavior 2/n

Why does it happen? You prepared so much to be a sensible long-term investor. All you wanted was to hold that gr8 idea you found after such effort. You worked like Bikram only to lose it like Betal.

The best preparation falls flat on a wet slippery, moody , monsoon morning. 4/n

The hypothesis & philosophy we elaborately build mean to keep us wedded to ideas, principles & portfolios for very long.

Even they don't often help. They fail. Reason - we borrowed them. Never internalised them enough. And, don't really own them. So, they fail us. #investing 6/n

The need to do something new. This is more overbearing than the real need. Which is to keep doing just what's needed.

And what is most often needed is to do nothing. Even tweeting more than U need to is reflective of a personality trait. It will often show in one's investing.7/n

Knowing what must be done can still not lead us towards doing it. Why?

You know #hdfcbank is a stable idea. You told yourself a million times. You may have written, spoken & tweeted it daily.

You will still wake up on the wrong side of the bed & sell it someday. #investing 3/n

You tell yourself that it needed to be done. You think the times are changing. So, you needed to change with the times.

The times didn't change. Nor, did you need to change with 'em so abruptly.

You wanted action. To show you know more than Mr. Market. This happens to ALL. 5/n
