like he’s a hard worker but he didn’t chase after the dreams at the beginning, they just... put mankai in front of him and he went after it — and that’s when he realized it could be a home for him

he’d still be working if he never found it, but...

it wasn’t his first goal. he didn’t chase after it, he didn’t even believe he could do it, but mankai was right there and he... just did it.

and then matsukawa *accepted* him and for the first time in his life

someone let him chase his dreams

could you imagine how amazing that is?

and could you imagine how heartbreaking it is right after that to hear it’s shutting down?

it became a home, a family, something he never thought would happen so he clung and clung and clung and hoped that he could be worth it

it all happened because of matsukawas shitty ads. can you believe that

before he came to mankai, he was fighting to /survive/. now hes alive and thriving and he has izumi and matsukawa and everyone else to thank and god

this is the boy who thought he wouldn't ever be able to achieve anything. this is the boy who was thrown to the side,

and never allowed to *be*, never allowed to dream or thrive because what could he do but help other people and god just

its *terrifying* but this one decision gave him more freedom than anything else in life and god of course hed be so scared to lose it

its the "it just happened" attitude ... man
