why non-binary and he / him lesbians are valid : a thread

fyi , this is directed at people who invalidate non-binary lesbians and he / him lesbians !!

first , let's talk about enby lesbians . the term non-binary means outside of the binary gender , male or female . that means that enbys can still partly identify as female . so , by your logic , wouldn't that mean they can identify as a lesbian ? yes .

some enbys do not identify with any gender , like myself , which means that , again using your logic , they can't identify as anything except for bi and pan , right ? no .

most enby lesbians feel more comfortable using the term lesbian because it might let them feel more feminine . some use it because they feel it's the only term that fits them .

saying that enbys cannot be lesbians is enbyphobic . period .

now let's talk about he / him lesbians !

as you may have heard before , pronouns do not always equal gender . a woman might be more comfortable using they / them pronouns , but that still makes them a woman . a man might want to use she / her pronouns , but she's still a man . it's about expression .

most he / him lesbians feel more comfortable using he / him pronouns while still being a female . they can also be non-binary and use he / him pronouns , and he would still be a lesbian .

amab men , however , cannot be lesbians . they are just straight .
