Please retweet this thread if you think that politicians in general and @INCIndia in particular are responsible along with ISI supported terrorists to make kashmir a living nightmare ...
there are a number of background operators who fan subversive and terror activities who, if proceeded against, raise, by virtue of influential positions they hold..a lot of hue and cry..exist in the bar, politics, press, and business. A lot of propaganda dust kicked up by them
today I want to bring to notice of my countrymen how these main stream parties in general and Rajiv Gandhi and George Farnandis in particular ruined the situation which was apt in March 1990 for return of Kashmiri Hindus back to valley and everlasting peace ..
In March 1990...I got a call from Mohd Amin my friend from my home town about the conditions of my parents particularly about my my grandmother who was on the death bed .. he said that conditions were improving and lot of muslims are coming on roads agitating for our return
I was in Jammu and news brought a big relief to my relatives who had migrated temporarily with a few pair of clothes as our neighbours only had requested us to leave kashmir for a few days till the conditions become normal ... most of the Muslim friends had trust on Jagmohan..
after a few days .. I would pick up Indian Express, as it read: “Mosques in the Valley no more blare out slogan ‘azadi’. Flags of secessionist —JKLF and H M—are not seen anywhere. The names of these bodies on the walls of the city have been erased. After a long time..good news
Jagmohan rightly went after the cause effect problem and I would cite two incidents here ... Allotment of 74 plots to Ministers and MLAs/MLCs in Roop Nagar Housing Colony....
The plots were meant for auction. By one stroke, they were taken out of auction by tMinisters for allotting these plots to themselves as well as to those (MLAs/MLCs) whose duty it was to act as a watch dog of the public interest...
Like the Chief Minister and Ministers, Soz a congress leader also got a plot allotted in Roop Nagar colony. But he was not contented with it. He wanted the allotment to be changed to the still more lucrative colony of Gandhi Nagar... writes Jagmohan in his book...
The allottees included Farooq Abdullah, his younger brother and Minister, Dr. Mustaffa Kamal, Urban Development Minister, Attaullah Suhrawardhy, Finance Minister, Abdul Rahim Rather, ex-Revenue Minister and Member of Parliament P.L. Handoo..
Congress also was not behind .. Congress(I) Cabinet Ministers Mangat Ram Sharma, Ghulam Rasool Kar, Moulvi Iftikhar Hussain Ansari etc. were part of loot ...
secondly ... V.P. Singh's Government took an extraordinary step to subject kp dream of return to the nasty winds which had the potential of extinguishing the light and blowing off the candle itself. It first set up an All-Party seven-member Advisory Committee..
and secondly was to led by the recently lost PM chair, Rajiv Gandhi ... the committee was headed by Devi Lal who used to address Kashmir as kaaashmir .... all of them were packed and sent to kashmir without any information and any agenda ...
Farooq excused at Delhi airport for having desentry as was often in his case ... and Soz who was part of team vanished somewhere on the air port ... Rajiv Gandhi landed in kashmir was to remind us after 30 years how Rahul Gandhi also tried to get into the Buffalo ass recently
what happened at Centaur hotel and how Rajiv Gandhi behaved in front of staff and other parties is a big blot on politics of India ..my cousin was manager there and what he witnessed there was shameful for an ex PM to behave along with Shafi Bhat ..Details in next tweet series
Now .. I will complete this thread .. thanks for being patient ... speaking of all party delegation sent to kashmir in March 1990..
the contingent of @INCIndia was abnormally large. Besides Rajiv Gandhi, there were Mani Shankar Aiyar... Azad.. Fotedar.. soz.. national conference Shafi Butt..handoo .. many more .. as if they had come for their daughters reception.,,
Sharp and acrimonious exchanges marked the visit of the high-level multi-party delegation to this curfew-bound city on Thursday as the purpose of the exercise ‘to meet the people and discuss the situation’ in the valley was nearly lost. ...
Newsmen asked 'to withdraw from the conference ..closed door meeting later, there were again bitter exchanges. Gandhi reportedly told Governor: “When I was Prime Minister, you were Governor even at that time. Should I disclose what you told me on Article 370’? ...
The local daily, the Kashmir Times, reported: “The trouble began when Jagmohan started briefing the leaders on the situation in the valley. Gandhi alleged that the Governor had treated the Deputy Prime Minister, Devi Lal, shabbily and had violated the protocol...
He agitatingly said: ‘The nation's honour is at stake.’ This provoked Jaswant Singh to retort, ‘Every one knows your concern for the nation’s honour.”...
leave it to the reader to decide whether Rajiv Gandhi's talk of consensus was not a sheer hypocrisy, a mere ruse. Do the above narrations of the incident leave any doubt about his mala fides? He came with predetermined objective of creating difficulties for the administration
His mala fides were compounded by the fact that he persisted with his course even when Ved Marwah flatly contradicted him in the presence of a large number of VVIPs. ...
After lunch .there was a commotion outside ..Rajiv Gandhi and his party colleagues and National Conference MPs Butt and Handoo were being shouted upon. On inquiry, it was gathered that Butt had brought to Rajiv Gandhi a group who, he thought, would favour him...
Instead, they turned hostile and poured their wrath on him. They said to Butt: “How have you become our representative? We never elected you. Who do you think you are? You cannot face anyone here. You sit in your cosy bungalow in New Delhi. You issue statements...
You think our problems are solved like that. Is that your task? Whom do you think you are fooling.” “And you, Mr. Rajiv Gandhi, you never came here when you were at the helm of the affairs at New Delhi. You thought, your prince, Farooq, was ruling in your name...
He is a nut, a pleasure seeking, golf playing monarch. .butchered us..Today, he and his mentor, namely you, Mr. Gandhi, are shedding crocodile tears. Just go away. We do not want to meet you or this clumsy man, Butt.” followed by a chorus of slogans: “Indian dogs go back.”..
The press generally condemned Rajiv Gandhi’s stance at the Srinagar meeting. The Statesman on 9 March 1990 for example, observed: “Touche, Rajiv Gandhi. First, you create the mess. Then, you and your allies try to be the martyrs...
Then you with the support of the Trojan horses, within and without, force the Government to take a second look at the crisis of your own creation. At the prolonged all-party meeting yesterday, you and your cohorts were insistent that all-party team must go to the Valley...
You were only seeking a cover-up for something that you single-handedly created while you were at the helm of affairs in the country and of course in Kashmir...
Your feigned concern for Devi Lal's position as Deputy Prime Minister and the lack of courtesy supposedly shown by the Governor, only confirms doubts that your insistence on all-party initiative in Kashmir is nothing short of gimmickry...
It is sure the people across the border and some of their sympathizers in the Valley must be having a whale of a time hearing the former Prime Minister mouthing inanities. When will you grow up, Gandhi?..
Or alternatively, why don't you suggest to the present Prime Minister, his deputy and his Home Minister, to make a gift of the Valley to anyone of your choice.” . This is also endorsed in Jagmohan book ...
battle was lost to separatists ..sessionists and terrorists before it started ... it was a political blunder ... VP Singh as it was a weak PM who got hoodwinked by Rajiv Gandhi .... and this thread is a proof that Gandhi’s when not in power become absolutely eccentric..
