Okay so I have watched lohanthony’s video bc I’m tired and I can’t sleep and this might be a hot take but; something about everyone saying he was sent to/went to conversion therapy camp just doesn’t sit right with me. Idk how to explain why, it just doesn’t sit right.
I think the aspect that I don’t like and really doesn’t sit right with me is the fact that EVERYONE is pushing this narrative and this narrative ONLY. Obviously from what it looks like it does seem that he did go to conversion therapy, but even then I don’t think
It’s right to just assume that he went though that without hearing from him directly. To assume he had to go through that horrific process just doesn’t feel right to me. It just doesn’t. Especially after he went though that horrific event at such a young age.
And in NOO way am I excusing what he said in regards to gay being a “gateway(?)” to “sinful(?)” living. He|| when I saw that viral clip, I made a joke about it because it was so bad and disgusting. I hope he has realized what he was harmful and damaging.
I also think if you are able to; watch his video in full before you speculate or tweet anything related to it. This whole mass mob of people exchanging information about people just based on pure speculation and hear-say isn’t working anymore and shouldn’t be working anymore.
To quote many “some of you guys need to log out of twitter and go outside (with a mask).”
To conclude my thoughts: I hope he realizes how harmful the things he said in that video, I hope he continues to find peace and heals from everything that has happened to him...
AND I hope y’all stop assuming and speculating someone’s possible trauma without said someone choosing confirming it or not! Let people speak out when they feel comfortable!! PLEASE.
