This guy doesn't need canceling, but I'd just like to say that a man who believes no girls in his high school were interested in Batman or Nirvana just indicates to me he made all those girls who did feel unsafe and unwelcome openly enjoying that stuff in front of him ¯\\_(ツ)_/¯
Geeky guys who say stuff like this don't understand the extent to which girls who were nerds were forced to keep it quiet and not love those things publicly.

It's a very common refrain "there were no geeky girls when I was growing up" and it is also 100% not true.
Anyway if you catch yourself thinking there were no girls into SciFi or fantasy or video games or RPGs or comic books or whatever genre you love when you were growing up - then you should stop and ask yourself why girls didn't feel comfortable telling you about what they loved.
As a girl who grew up geekier then almost all of the boys around me but was never allowed to play D&D with them, this is a very big pet peeve of mine.
I should never have clicked on the Nirvana trending topic because now I'm all mad.

(It's also utter bullshit to suggest there weren't girls that loved Nirvana FFS)
